Indiana Center for Biomedical Innovation
The Indiana Center for Biomedical Innovation (ICBI) houses startup companies that have developed on the basis of innovations from the Indiana University School of Medicine. ICBI supports early-stage technologies and the transition from early innovation to commercialization.
Enterprise Clinical Research Operations at IU Health manages the facilities and logistics of ICBI. The facilities are located on the 5th floor of the Noyes Pavilion at IU Health Methodist Hospital. The research space includes 8 laboratories with additional common areas that contain a walk-in cold room, a tissue culture room, a microscope room, a room for flow cytometry and 2 conference rooms.
Specialized equipment, microscopes and centrifuges are provided for the companies as well as separate dedicated office space that is located on the same floor as the laboratories.
