ICBI

The mission of the Indiana Center for Biomedical Innovation (ICBI) is to serve Indiana University and the Indiana life science’s ecosystem by incubating high potential bioscience companies and entrepreneurial researchers as they move their discoveries from bench to bedside.

Enterprise Clinical Research Operations at IU Health manages the facilities and logistics of ICBI. The facilities are located on the 5th floor of the Noyes Pavilion at IU Health Methodist Hospital. The research space includes 8 laboratories with additional common areas that contain a walk-in cold room, a tissue culture room, a microscope room, a room for flow cytometry and 2 conference rooms.

Specialized equipment, microscopes and centrifuges are provided for the companies as well as separate dedicated office space that is located on the same floor as the laboratories.

The ICBI also provides access to a network of expertise across the ISM, IU Health, the greater Indiana life sciences and entrepreneurial communities as well as industry leaders that provide a “whole of ecosystem” approach to take innovations quickly and efficiently from bench to bedside.
